Set the depth.
Order by yard or ton.

Convert a rectangular area and compacted depth into cubic yards, then apply a supplier-specific density for estimated weight.

Bulk density varies by stone type, gradation, moisture, and supplier. Confirm the supplier’s tons-per-yard figure and whether entered depth is compacted or loose before ordering.

Method and limitations

Area × depth, converted to cubic yards, plus allowance.

Estimated tons equal adjusted cubic yards multiplied by the entered bulk density. Irregular shapes, subgrade loss, settlement, compaction, and delivery minimums require separate allowance.
